CRIMP IN MY CHRISTMAS PLANS!

Postby xmassock » Fri Dec 16, 2016 1:37 pm

Hi all!

Thought I'd drop a quick note to say I'll be lurking but not posting very much.

Whatever I was going to do has ground to a halt. I fell last night and broke my shoulder. So cards, present wrapping etc is a non starter. Driving will be impossible for a month because I won't be insured even if I could manage it.

On the upside, I'm blessed with really helpful offspring, friends and neighbours. DD will be home tomorrow and she can drive. Everything's covered but the tree which we were going to get on Sunday. And it's my right shoulder and I'm left handed.

To add insult to injury it wasn't even on festive snow. It was unseasonal wet moss! :)

Didn't want people to think I'd dropped off again. Still here and celebrating with you.

HO HO HO!
I used to think I was wrong.
But I was mistaken
.

Sock, so sorry to hear of your plight. OMGoodness! Hope you still enjoy the holiday season even if plans have to change. So glad DD is at home this year and not downunder!

I so enjoy your posts and sense of humour. It was nice to 'see' you back. Hope healing is not too lengthy and you can soon be back with us.

What a bummer! I'm hoping another up-side for you might be that you enjoy the "simple pleasures" of the season and discover "less is more". I always end up thinking that I'll simplify ... next year! LOL

Focus on what you can do ... sit by the fire and enjoy a Christmas movie/book/magazine/special on TV/chat on the phone with a friend; surf the internet for great Christmas ideas ...

You will be missed on the forum. Post a bit when you can.

Thank you all so much for your good wishes.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. As predicted, ours was very quiet. Almost everything had been done fortunately, although I didn't get any cards sent. Good job we'd decided to simplify!

Oh goodness...My brother fell down our stairs Christmas afternoon. Needless to say he didn't make it to the family celebration. He seems okay, BUT he was already scheduled for some repair work on his back and spine. It's so rough when that happens..let alone around the holidays. You get better!!

I hope your brother's OK

I'm not as sore but have a hospital appointment to see if it's healing properly or if it needs pinning.
